Big News: Welcome to Thyme and Temp!

Friends, I can hardly contain my excitement—I finally get to share something that has been quietly simmering in the background for months: the launch of Thyme and Temp, our brand-new food blog! This little project has been on my heart for quite some time, and now it’s officially out in the world.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, this probably doesn’t come as a surprise. My feed is already overflowing with snapshots of cakes fresh out of the oven, doughnuts glazed to perfection, crunchy crostinis piled high with toppings, and yes, the occasional bright, healthy salad to balance things out. Sharing quick glimpses there has been fun, but I’ve been craving a bigger space—a place where recipes can live, stories can unfold, and food can be celebrated beyond a single square photo.

Cooking as Our Weekend Ritual

Thyme and Temp is very much a reflection of how we live. My boyfriend and I are unapologetic gluttons in the best sense of the word. Weekends are sacred, and for us, that means rolling up our sleeves, filling the kitchen with good music, and cooking feasts that often spiral way beyond “just dinner.”

Sometimes it’s an all-day baking marathon, the kind where flour dusts every surface and we collapse afterward with cookies still warm from the tray. Other times it’s a marathon of savory experiments—slow roasts, bubbling pots of pasta, homemade breads, and spreads that turn into impromptu tapas nights. We love inviting friends over, feeding them far too much, and watching the food disappear almost as quickly as it came together.

The truth is, we don’t always know exactly what we’re doing. Recipes are often scribbled on scraps of paper or cobbled together from inspiration found in cookbooks, restaurants, or sheer curiosity. But that’s part of the joy: learning, improvising, and occasionally failing spectacularly before getting it right the next time. Food is forgiving like that, and it always has a way of bringing laughter to the table, even when the soufflé sinks.

What You Can Expect from Thyme and Temp

So what will you find on this new blog of ours? In short: a little bit of everything we love to eat.

  • Decadent desserts that make you want to lick the spoon. Think layer cakes, doughnuts, and pastries that look fancy but are actually doable at home.
  • Everyday comfort food—those go-to dinners you’ll want in your rotation, elevated with small twists that make them feel special.
  • Small bites and nibbles perfect for sharing at parties or pairing with a glass of wine (because a good crostini never disappoints).
  • Healthier-ish options that balance things out, for the days when we want something fresh and vibrant without sacrificing flavor.

We’re not setting out to be perfect chefs or to create food that looks untouchable. Our goal is to make cooking approachable, playful, and above all, joyful. Food is meant to be shared—not just the finished dish, but the process of making it, the little stories behind it, and the memories created around the table.

Why Now?

Launching Thyme and Temp feels like the natural next step. Food has always been our love language, both to each other and to the people in our lives. Whenever friends visit, the first thing we do is feed them. Whenever we travel, the highlight is almost always tied to a meal. And whenever life feels uncertain, the kitchen is where we retreat—it’s the place that grounds us.

Sharing those moments more intentionally feels exciting and a little vulnerable, but also exactly right. This blog isn’t about polished perfection—it’s about documenting the messy, delicious, wonderful chaos of cooking at home.

Join Us at the Table

We’re so thrilled to finally invite you into our kitchen. Whether you’re a fellow foodie, a curious beginner, or just someone who loves drooling over pictures of cake (no shame in that!), we hope you’ll find something here that inspires you to cook, eat, and share.

At the end of the day, Thyme and Temp is about connection. It’s about slowing down enough to chop, stir, bake, and savor. It’s about gathering around a table with people you love and letting food do what it’s always done best—bring us together.

So here’s to new beginnings, plenty of butter, and a whole lot of fun along the way. We can’t wait to see what comes out of the oven next—and we’re even more excited to share it all with you.
